No promotions or salary increases. Promotions are based on who your manager is and if they like you. Same applies to how much work you get. Some people don't get promoted for 3 or 5 years. Hard to move around to different departments too.

The layoffs were handled quietly and unexpectedly, even though there were some early signs. They didn’t share who else was affected, but it was clearly more than just me.
