Pros
Usually relaxed environment. Work from home. Mostly nice people.
Cons
Where to begin. Absolute chaos. Useless Agile ceremonies because they have no substance. Constant talk of quality when there is none. I was hired as a senior developer but didn't type a single line of code. In 5 months I typed about 10 lines of SQL. None of it ever went to production. Tasks are not defined. You spend your day "chasing" people trying to find someone who may have an idea what you might need to do. And good luck with that because people are spread out all over the world, in Spain, India, Phillipines, United States. Zero differentiation between business people and developers and dev ops. As a developer you have to "chase" people in order to understand what you need to do. And many times you need to do nothing, empty User Stories are simply closed. Useless meetings all day. You are on call every 2 weeks or so. In summary, don't let them put you in Deutsche Bank if you actually want to have a life and learn something.
