Pros

Conde' Nast is the premier print publishing firm in the world, and it's poising to really transform itself into a media company with online interactive content, and various other platforms. Because it's a successful company in its field, people want to work there to pad their resume. The summer hours are a major perk, half day Friday's. Also, they pay for parking for the Wilmington office.

Cons

If you work in the Shared Services Center, depending on your manager, beware of favoritism. It does even extend to the directors. In addition, there is no room for movement. When a position opens, management already has someone in mind for it, and only "opens" it to feign that everyone has a shot, but they know who's going to fill it. HR has a fast turnover, so it was barely ever present in the Wilmington office. Also, the pay is below market average, and up until the Great Recession, that was ok, because the benefits were really great, but now co-pays and deductibles are really high, only reducing those pay checks more.

Pros

You’re wealthy enough to be relaxed, but not wealthy enough to be careless.

Cons

but NYC’s costs prevent true luxury unless income is much higher.

Pros

Great to be in proximity to such amazing brands like Vogue, Vanity Fair and the New Yorker

Cons

Pay is absolutely criminal unless you're "bonus eligible." Another billion dollar company crying poverty. Also, absolutely zero possibility of advancement.
