Many within hold the old mentality of a traditional media company. Outwardly, they want to be seen as a digital player, however they haven't truly adapted to what that means and still do things the way they have always been done. With old thought also comes entitlement on many levels and external players are just not having it anymore. The needs of Senior leadership come before that of client needs. Senior Leadership likes to belittle and embarrass their team members for sport in group settings in the most unprofessional way. Long hours equate to no work/life balance. Don't be fooled by the 'arm of resources' that appear to exist. There is still a great deal of time spent on internal work based on old practices. Quality of work produced by some teams suffers as a result. Mandatory team outings are beyond uncomfortable, and come at a cost of knowing your workload is building up and long hours will ensue.
