Pros

The Steam (Sr. Leadership team) has walked away and ignored the Leadership Principles that have guided the company to its status. They are now no longer a Day 1 company. They are focusing on the short game for stock price increases. The Return to Office policy is actually nothing more than a sham to layoff for a third time and not have to pay severance packages. After being told to relocate within 90 days to a Hub office which often is in Seattle, Nashville or Arlington, VA, nobody received anything in writing and when asked for documentation the employees are being told it's verbal only. Interesting scheme. I am one of those impacted. After 8 years with the company and having been hired into a Virtual position 4 years ago it is being revoked and I am being forced to relo or be terminated. My family is here. My life is here. My wifes cancer treatment is here. They don't care. No exception granted. No longer is Amazon working to be the Worlds Best Employer. They are lost. They are not the same company and it won't be long and they will be like so many other companies before them; soulless boxes of gray doing nothing distinguishable from others.

Really smart people, a lot of opportunity for growth, always encouraged to be innovative, think big, and create something new. Competitive salary and benefits with other major tech companies. 100% self motivating work environment. No dress code and 4 legged friends are welcome.

Cons

You have to be self motivated. NO ONE will hold your hand and tell you that you're doing a great job. If you need constant affirmations from management, this company isn't for you.
