Pros

It is a large company so it is possible to move internally and change project if you want to learn new technologies Some teams use recent technologies Generally access to good tools and docs, plus dedicated time to learn

Cons

Some teams are more well functioning than others, it is always good to have insider information before joining one. There is a fair amount of legacy systems which are important but not very well funded as the investment tends to go towards new developments.
