Innovating for the future of publishing

Pros

Simply said, if you're serious about publishing, Elsevier is where you want to be. While the company is going more in a technology direction, the content is still the key to our success. In this day and age, it's important to look to the future of how our customers want to use and view content, so it's exciting to be part of a company that is actively innovating and rethinking what it means to be a publisher. The overall work-life balance is good, with a decent benefits package. The push toward newly renovated office spaces is also a plus.

Cons

It greatly depends on what department you're in, but there isn't always room for vertical growth within a given department. Sometimes you'll need to transfer to another department to get that lateral step up.
