Pros

Worked with really great people giving it their all. Interesting work.

Cons

Management does not listen. Wants every business to be like simple manufacturing. Some things and people and subject don't fit that mold.

Generally a good company, poor pay

Pros

The company strives on providing comprehensive training to new employees, and I felt welcomed when I started the job. I also had great bosses and colleagues, and I liked interacting with authors and editors during the publishing process. You also learn a lot early on, and if you're interested in acquisitions this job can actually help you advance to that career point. Time off is generous enough (2 weeks vacation your first year, and 3 in your second).

Cons

Expensive health insurance (the deductibles will kill you--you end up never wanting to go to the doctor even if you need to due to the horrendous bills you'd get strapped with), given more projects than you can handle at once and are still expected to meet your target goal, low pay ('"raises" are extremely small).
