Pros

Located in the centre of London-Victoria. FinTech is an aggressively growing industry, so might be a foot in the door for the industry. A few good and smart employees in there.

Cons

Zero reliability - management changes its mind literally 5 times a day, promises "ABC", does "XYZ", comes up with "EFG", tells employees that it will implement "HIJ" and ends up doing "RST" --> it impossible to structure work towards a goal + never take for granted what they tell you. This is also its a huge impediment for personal planing. Really bad cave (= sales office) in the basement.

Thank you for your comments. The Fintech industry is incredibly fast moving and being a leading Fintech company, we have to be dynamic and agile in our decision making to keep ahead of our competition and the market. Sometimes this means that decisions change direction, but there is always a sound business rationale behind this. However, you make a fair point, as we can always do a better job of communicating these decisions to the team, so we will look to improve our internal communication. Regarding your comments about office space - We have been operating from three different offices in Victoria, one of which has a basement floor. However, due to rapid expansion and success, from the end of August we will be moving to fantastic, modern and spacious offices in the heart of Victoria which will provide our employees with a very high quality work environment.

Pros

The sales staff are good fun and it's a young environment

Cons

They sell the dream to grads and make it out as if you will make loads of money and get promoted quickly but in reality this is not the case. Senior management don't care about junior staff Minimal benefits No work life balance your expected to lead source in the evenings and in your own time - no proper time given during the day to do this so you end up below target

We are glad to hear that you believe the sales staff are 'great people', Ebury has a really vibrant workforce and also a very sociable culture in which the sales teams regularly celebrate achieving targets with social events paid for by the Company. Our recruitment policy is very open and honest about what a sales role with us involves, including the realistic timescale it takes to be promoted, as it is not a job that suits everyone. This is why our recruitment processes are very thorough and include a couple of hours of shadowing. Every candidate sits with a current member of staff to see what we do, how we do it, and ask any questions they have about the job. Many of our sales and dealing staff make extremely good commissions and promotions take place regularly, up to an equity holding Partner level. The sales teams are critical to the success of our Company and continuing expansion. Without them, the Company would not be where it is today, and this is well recognised by Senior Management.

Pros

Fast paced, fast growth. Leading the market and winning awards. I have seen a good number of success stories, from sales - e.g. BD to Heads of Desk and Partners (share option scheme for top performers), to back office and technology - e.g. Operations Specialist to Head of Operations. 100% meritocratic environment. Personally, it is challenging, constantly stretching yourself, a lot of job satisfaction.

Cons

Young company, still only six and a half years old, it is extremely fast paced so some growing pains. Expects a lot from staff, but does reward for good performance.
