Eaton is Not What it Projects

Pros

Good pay and benefits for the area. Most of the actual workers are good people trying to do "The Right Thing" but are reluctant to do so when they know their jobs (and the ability to support their family) are on the line.

Cons

If you like Back Porch Politics and behind the scenes Handshaking, this is the place for you. If you like working for 8 to 12 hours a day in a concentration camp-sweatshop environment, please submit your resume'. If you can get along with a Plant Manager that implemented and promotes a fear culture, you belong on our "team". If you have a sense of Integrity and Honor.... If you raise the flag when something isn't right..... If you question the status quo.... Eaton Sarasota IS NOT the place for you.

Pros

Aerospace products are quite interesting.

Cons

Eaton have broken IT systems, complicated processes and no disregard for their customers. I found them to be very misleading towards their customers and spoke poorly of them behind their backs. It's a revolving door of people in and people out, you won't get treated well.

Most unprofessional, disconnected place I have worked

Pros

You get to work most weekends and Holidays, even though they tell you these are days off and part of your benefits package

Cons

Millennial leadership who got raised on participation awards who apparently never got challenged with the word NO. If you have a position that gets asked decision questions, if your answer is what they want to hear they're OK. If you give them a fact-based God's honest answer they don't want to hear, "You need to consider how you're perceived by leadership because this will affect your year end review." Better yet, they manage by results knowing nothing of the floor because all they know is staring at spreadsheets. This place is the most unconnected, unorganized organization I have seen. It lacks leadership from the top as they have no connection to the floor. Executive leadership is worse, doesn't matter because the plant manager doesn't advocate for the customer or for the people. I give this place 3 years before it gets shut down and moved to Mexico and Poland.
