Pros

The opportunity to see various companies as a client serving professional gives me insight into the business community in a way that working in private accounting could never give me. The learning curve is also very steep in EY, so that learning is condensed and escalated. This is a positive thing, as you learn more in a short period of time. The benefits are fairly good, though the salary leaves something to be desired and having no bonus program is disheartening.

Cons

The workload is often too unmanagable as the client expectations are set too high and our timeframe is too short. This leads to a lacking in the "life" part of the "work/life balance".

Pros

- Global company with a well recognized brand name that's known everywhere - strong exit opportunities within the industry and to clients - interesting projects that are varied - allowing you to learn a lot about different industries in a short amount of time - colleagues are smart, interesting and are there to help you - mix of consulting and accounting - very good reputation in India where it even does a lot of banking deals

Cons

- the hours can be tough at time - it can be tough to move from one office to another office (even in the same division)
