Pros

EY is a great place to start a career in accounting. EY employees have many opportunities to be exposed to a wide number of industries, interesting companies, and accounting issues. Through this exposure they can rapidly increase their technical accounting skills, as well as their other professional skills. EY is leading accounting firm in the Bay Area for the majority of industries. EY is dynamic workplace that has many young employees from all over the world.

Cons

A person's experience at EY is largely dependent on the engagement teams that a person is assigned to. Many of the firm's people are bright, inclusive, want to provide flexibility, and are willing to provide on the job coaching and professional development. However, there are often many managers and partners that don't fully practice these ideals. The recent downturn in the economy has unfortunately revealed the Company's true colors a bit more. Seniors are getting squeezed as an already lean business model is trying to get more out of less.
