Pros

Excellent work environment. Highly driven employees working to produce life changing medical products. Work is fast paced and constantly striving to produce the best glucose products for diabetics. At the end of the day we are making a difference to millions of people with this horrible disease.

Cons

Dealing with the FDA and other regulatory organizations can be very time consuming. As an engineer in the medical field it takes quite a bit more time for validation and verification. Documentation is quite daunting due to the regulatory agencies.

Pros

I have only been working for Dexcom for a few weeks but what an amazing company! People are great, work/life balance is supported which is hard to find in a company that is growing so quickly.

Cons

Opportunity to be more automated and to be "Big Business Focused" which is a key initiative for Dexcom.

Pros

Working for a medical device company has great rewards because our customers benefits from our first in class product. They have one good looking spoke person: Nick Jonas. They are one of the sponsor for Tour de Cure and provide a jersey if you raise $200 and more. Great team and co-workers. One of the few company that offers Tech Support in house (instead of Philippines or India)

Cons

Heard mixed comments from different departments. Because of the rapid growth, our department is short staffed and established employees are spread thin. Thus, no time to get additional training and stay up to date with the new technologies. Then you have bad reviews because your yearly goals are partially completed. Credit is not given to individual contributor, but to the supervisor or manager. Get ready to get calls in the middle of the night even if you are not 24hr IT support. Get ready to be asked to work from home during medical leave. Couple cases of burnout among my colleagues. Salary below market value, except for management (who by the way drive Tesla and the like). Public shaming of parking offenders (companywide emails). They tow your car without notice when you are not in the right company's parking space.
