A company without a shred of integrity

Pros

- Matching 401k (at least for now...)

Cons

The company has mandated a forced return-to-office (RTO), regardless of how far employees live from the nearest office. Previously, the "50-mile rule" allowed employees living beyond that distance to qualify for remote work. However, that policy was quietly eliminated in August, just before the RTO announcement. When I reached out to HR for clarification, I was threatened with termination. I've worked for some questionable startups in the past, but nothing compares to the disappointment of working here. Despite their mission statement boasting about "sustainable innovations," they just put thousands of cars back on the road and ignored the damage this decision inflicts on employee well-being and mental health. I have no issue with a hybrid model, especially for those who live within a reasonable commuting distance. But enforcing this policy and demanding that employees who live like 90 miles away commute three days a week is not only absurd, it's reckless and downright unethical. The Legal department better be prepared because if any incidents arise from these long, unnecessary commutes, the company could face serious legal consequences—both civil and criminal.

Pros

Mostly Sell Solutions that work Generally talking with happy customers Compensation and benefits are competitive Reputable solutions and customers

Cons

Internal Communication, account strategizing and teamwork are void of my brand in 2023. Achilles heals in 2023. The technical teams try to run the sales process instead of supporting the people who actually understand sales and know how to win. And the internal “brand is better” vs “industry is better.” What a joke Then management asks why we lose so much ? The definition of insanity. The company can’t get out of its own way. Start looking at the common denominators on your technical teams for broken links in the chain.

Good work life balance but no career growth

Pros

You get to work on excellent technology and an excellent work-life balance. The company has a large customer and user base. Leading position in CAD and PLM world. Highly diversified portfolio. Company executives show a good vision to all the employees and lead the company toward achieving it.

Cons

No career growth. I have seen top-performing employees staying at the same level for 15+ years. HR does not engage with the employees. I have been working here for the past 12 years and have only talked to my HR twice. Most policy, process, product definition, and development decisions happen in the company headquarters in Velizy, France, and NAM division rarely gets involved in the decision-making process, especially the ENOVIA brand. Your local management has no leverage in making their own decisions. Many of the senior management are replaced by relocated employees from France. You can quickly get the position or work you want if you are French enough. The company aspires to be in the top 10 places to work. But they cherry-pick the benefits they provide to compare with other companies. For example, the company's share of health insurance premiums continuously declining the past 10 years. The company has the potential to be the top company but is unwilling to spend on the employee's benefits. There is a big difference in salaries between R&D, Sales, Support, and Services.
