Pros

The pay is really the only Pro. They offer very competitive wages for the area.

Cons

Management reminds me of high school. Union shop so dealing with operators is always a challenge. High firing rate

Pros

Great compensation package, offers very helpful health and wellness packages, taking pride in a diverse work place, nice facilities

Cons

A complete lack of experience in middle management. In more than one department I was under people with no prior management experience which resulted in terrible micro management.

Pros

1. True commitment to diversity in a lot of practical, sensible ways. 2. I have had 7 managers in 5 years, and each of them was phenomenal. 3. Relatively easy to change roles, in fact, it's probably encouraged too much. 4. Reasonable opportunity for raises, though it's mostly politics (who you know). 5. Overall great flexibility that leads to excellent work/life balance (though only 10 days vacation for new hires).

Cons

1. EXTREMELY sensitive to stockholders which leads to horrific changes of direction that absolutely wreak havoc on morale, quality, innovation, and motivation of work force. 2. Management does not stick to plans. 3. Accountability is virtually non-existent, which on one level leads to low stress, yet ultimately hurts everyone as risk takers are viewed as toxic and those that take the safe road and yet never say "No" generally do just fine. 4. They generally hire too many when times are good and subsequently have to lay people off every ~2-3 years. 5. They do not value experience and while they treat people well, employees are still just numbers. For example, someone with 5 years experience in something specific would generally be viewed the same as a college hire with respect to work assignments.
