Pros

The plant had nice people and some of the office people were nice.

Cons

Not sure how to fix it since I was never allowed to be really involved in anything.

Pros

international presence and still provide lots of expat opportunities; decent benefit and it gets better when you stay longer; flexibility to move around - across functions, Business Units, regions

Cons

headquarter in Columbus, IN, a very small town and pretty much dominated by the company, which means it will be very difficult if you want to find jobs outside of the company typical corporation - decision could be super slow

Pros

local for me (short drive everyday), 3 shifts so it should work for anyone, only eight hours from start to end of shift

Cons

WAGES EXTREMELY UNFAIR!!! Seems like they draw a name out of a hat & decide who gets paid what. Supposedly they pay you on previous factory experience, (& say it is also based on education, attendance & job performance), but that is NOT so in MOST cases. They use Kelly Services to hire on new people, then after 3 months or 6 months or more, (although they post hiring on after 90 days) they hire those people. However they DO NOT go by ANY performance on the job or attendance in that trial period. What a perfect opportunity to see what kind of employee they are, by having them work in YOUR facility, doing the job that you would be hiring them for. Instead they call previous employers, where the ONLY information you get from a previous employer is start & end date and position held. This DOES NOT tell you if this person was a hard worker with good attendance, got along good with people & worked to better the company or not. That person could have been the laziest person ever, showed up to work whenever they felt like it, robbed the place blind & came to work drunk or hungover every day, YET, BECAUSE they have previous factory type experience, they are started out at a much higher wage that one who has not. It seems as the hardest working employees, who pay attention to detail, quality & safety, get started out at the lowest possible wage. Then supposedly are to receive periodic reviews that will result in a raise of some sort, (at 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 18 months & 24 months.) but unless you badger them over & over, they ignore any kind of raise. Once you have reached the 24 months, it is done annually. ALSO, after getting hired on, you are on your own if you have any questions concerning anything benefits, changes etc. Four people in Human Resource department, and have NO idea what they do. If you go in with a question, they hand you a pamphlet with a phone number to call. If you try to talk to someone about wages etc., there is nothing they can do, as they have a "spreadsheet" that they go by. This is NOT just one persons point of view, I would guess that the majority of the employees here, feel this way. It is joked about on all 3 shifts, daily.
