Pros

Honestly, my time there was the most disgusting "professional" experience I've ever endured. I can say that having this company on my resume was the 'Pro' but I seriously want to forget I ever stepped foot in there. So I guess the pro was that I learned that all that glitters isn't gold and the horrid reputation alias "Conde Nasty" wasn't created by just 1 disgruntled employee.

Cons

Okay, so where do I start? Here goes: - micromanaging x 1,000 - cliquish unprofessional work environment - unprofessional work culture (including insensitive racial comments) - Unclear direction - Management over projects their vision unto team and anything else suggested isn't considered. - EXTREMELY PRETENIOUS - Ran like a dictatorship - Lack of team building or trust - There seems to be a huge lack of open-minded individuals with a diverse background All in all, this isn't a place to work if you're a kind, open-minded, creative professional.

Pros

The pro's of the Conde Nast Summer Internship Program are endless. Out of the ongoing list, my top three pro's would have to be the following: 1. Unbelievable dedication to making sure every intern was given a complete understanding and experience of the entire Conde Nast/publishing industry, regardless of personal placement. 2. The entire Conde Nast company/all employees were delightful to work for and extremely kind, genuine, and always willing to help clarify or further explain 3. The Conde Nast building (4 Times Square) is impeccably clean, easy to commute to, and very safe

Cons

The only "con" that I can truly admit to after spending three months at Conde Nast was that as a part of the internship program, the compensation was a measly $8 per day...very hard to be able to afford when being a college student in NYC!

Pros

I used to think the company was great, but the 2023 restructuring really messed things up. A lot of talented people got laid off, which was a big loss.

Cons

The Technology leadership team is short-sighted, prioritizing short-term metrics over a long-term vision. Personnel decisions appear arbitrary, with the random termination of skilled employees. A lack of career progression stifles motivation. Tech staff decreased from 400+ in 2023 to about 60, with leadership showing no remorse or accountability for their actions.
