Pros

- Stable finance leadership in London HQ makes for stability across Finance across the globe - Interesting time to join for the function I looked after, so a good global challenge for those that like a challenge

Cons

- none that stand out as massive, as the ones I saw were par for course for a new function that should be resolved over time, as long as it is given sufficient level of priority from senior management

Pros

Relaxed work environment with minimal pressure, expectations are extremely low, so work-life balance is easy to maintain.

Cons

Rampant internal politics: speaking the truth or raising valid concerns often results in being targeted and sidelined. Middle and senior management are indecisive, self-serving, and often protect their own interests at the expense of their teams. Developers are routinely blamed for leadership failures. Many managers have been promoted far beyond their competence, and they actively sabotage the careers of capable engineers and designers. Large-scale layoffs in design and product teams occurred due to poor strategic decisions, yet accountability remains absent. Despite operating a costly GCC in Bengaluru, the software division contributes very little value to the global brand. Outsourcing the same work would likely yield better results at a fraction of the cost. Stagnant salaries, random firings, favouritism, and an increasingly toxic environment make this a deeply unrewarding place to work. High attrition and a damaged reputation have made it nearly impossible for the company to attract or retain quality talent.
