My colleagues in my specific team are lovely!

Please do not work here, its stress 24/7. You have to log your toilet breaks, they dock them from your wages. I have IBS and I now earn less then minimum wage. The calls are CONSTANT. You get 40 seconds between calls to finish what you were doing before getting thrown into a new call. The calls are the same. Its incredibly boring. I had to deal with a bomb threat- I was not trained on how to deal with this, just warned it might happen. I had to stay on the phone like a negotiator and got paid next to nothing for it. There's no chance of any bonus. They dangle a bonus infront of everyone and make it impossible to get. If you have excellent audits, they put the goal post further away, if you're sick at all you have no chance of getting it. The system they use for calls DOES NOT WORK. It's faulty, you can barely hear the callers or they can barely hear you. It's glitchy and horrible. They do not care about you. They just care that you are taking as many calls as possible perfectly. No paid sick leave, unpaid breaks, no work/home balance- they don't care if your calls take you an hour or 2 into over time but God forbid you aren't taking calls immediately when your shift starts (seriously, if you take 2 mins to set up the 100 apps and sites you need to have open to even work you get told off)

Pros

The people.. at least before everyone resigned. There's a nice male/female split in the engineering team.. at least before everyone resigned. Decent personal & professional development allowances. Home working... Remember when we got perks like free lunch? Haha.

Cons

Picture a place where the only thing the company cares about is saving money, gently pushing people to leave so they can hire a cheaper offshore replacement without having to pay redundancy, causing the remaining engineers to have to work across multiple timezones, with up to 10 hours difference on the same project. Picture a company that doesn't help you adapt to this new way of working, just sends you away to figure it out amongst yourselves, then blames you when velocity isn't increasing (shocking revelation). Picture a place that now doesn't have enough staff because of this tactic, so everyone is doing the work of 3 people for the pay of less than one person. Picture a dumpster fire. You've got it.

We genuinely care so much about our employees and their journeys, it's a shame to see this not work out for you. You raise some incredibly valid points: - Working across multiple timezones can be extremely difficult. We’re looking at ways to improve this experience and create clear and fair ways of working to stay true to having a flexible work culture. It can also be a great opportunity to work with different people and skillsets that may not exist in the local office. - Not having enough people is a challenge being felt by many organisations as we’re experiencing unprecedented turbulence in the market (thank you COVID-19). The hiring managers and talent teams are working tirelessly to support this. It takes time finding great people, we’re working on it! - You’re right to call out that we’re not a startup anymore - we’re 18+ years old and part of one of the largest Customer Experience organisations in the world. We’ve come a very long way since being four guys in a bedroom in Sydney! I appreciate this isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea and another startup venture might be better suited to some but we have so much more opportunity to explore in this new world - more geographies, more clients, more interesting projects to work on, additional skills development and plenty of career opportunities as we have high growth aspirations - if you want to see it, there’s a lot to be excited about. The pay was not adequate compared to amount of work demanded, The Metrics system is an absolute out of reach goal that concentrix/CenterWell Pharmacy would micromanage to meet. The micromanagement alone is stressful especially if you had children at home, your were to be on camera the entire time from login to logout. If a cell phone was detected on camera you faced a write up, if your child just simply walked by and was on camera you were wrote up, the break and lunch time you were allotted were not nearly enough time. As expected back to back calls, zero time to collect yourself between calls. Outgoing calls that 98% of customers on the other line were sick of being called MULTIPLE TIMES DAILY. It is a job that will mentally drain you each day that it physically wears you down. It takes such a toll on your life that there is truly ZERO work and home life balance that they try to say they accomplish. If you are single or at least without children at home this job may suit you, if not I strongly recommend looking else where for work.
