I want to share my candid thoughts about my previous company as an employee. While I appreciate the experience, there are several aspects that I believe need improvement for the betterment of the organization and its employees. Commitment to "People First": While the company professed a "people first" approach, I observed that this was not reflected in actions. The practice of prioritizing employees should be a tangible commitment, not just rhetoric. Senior Management Expertise: Senior management appeared to lack the requisite work-related knowledge to effectively mentor or guide employees for career progression. This disconnect was disheartening. Inadequate Learning Environment: I found that the company struggled to provide a conducive learning environment. This may hinder employees' personal and professional growth, as they might not have opportunities to acquire new skills or knowledge. Limited Growth Opportunities: One of the challenges I encountered during my time there was the lack of growth opportunities. There appeared to be limited or no avenues for professional development or advancement within the company. Impact on Employee Morale: The senior leadership's behavior sometimes had a demoralizing effect on hard-working and dedicated employees. A more positive and supportive leadership approach would go a long way in boosting employee confidence and motivation. Lack of Escalation Channels and Fear of Retaliation: Lack of clear channels for addressing concerns or raising issues. It's vital for an organization to have effective feedback mechanisms in place, else it might create a culture of fear and inhibit open communication, making it challenging for employees to voice their concerns without repercussions. A more transparent and secure system for raising issues and providing feedback is crucial for fostering a healthier work environment. Ethical and Moral Values: It is essential for senior leadership to set the standard in terms of ethical and moral values. An organization's culture is deeply influenced by the example set by its leaders. Glassdoor Ratings: The practice of instructing/pressurizing employees at the site to submit positive ratings on platforms like Glassdoor, with these ratings being included as part of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), is worth discussing. While the idea of integrating Glassdoor ratings into KPIs as a means to address employee feedback is commendable, the execution of this approach may unintentionally compromise the authenticity of feedback on such platforms, thus diluting their primary purpose, which is to offer unfiltered insights into the company's work environment. Such practices have the potential to erode the credibility of external feedback channels and may also impact employee morale.

Pros

Salary is always on time wfh is great my team was the best

Cons

KPI to get monthly bonus in the hands of customers makes 0 sense. If they are unhappy about the resolution (that you give according to policy) they will give you 1 out of 5 and your VOC will drop drastically. You are told to start at 8 and go online, but when it's time to log off you have to do it 2 minutes after your log off time because "we have to wait for the queue to be clear". Imagine an incoming call that comes in those 2 minutes and you're on the phone for half an hour. That means if you had something else to do, like living the rest of your life, you're late, you can't. You can't take your 10 minutes personal time in the last hour of your shift for some unspecified reason, the breaks are tightly scheduled which for a job based on incoming calls is unthinkable. If your break is at 10 am, and you receive a call at 9.58 you have to wait for the call to end before taking your 15 minutes anyway. So what's the point of scheduling them? Sometimes between 2 breaks there are 3.5/4 hours on an 8-hour shift. To progress in your career you have to stay in the same role for at least one year. Other factor for promotion is if you constantly get the bonus by reaching KPI. So if you're good on calls, you will be promoted off the calls.

We’re dissapointed your time at Concentrix + Webhelp wasn’t everything you hoped it would be. We wish we could have tackled your concerns while you were still with us. But you know what? We still appreciate your honest feedback. Maybe our paths will cross again in the future, and we can give it another shot!
