Pros

Good people, and good working conditions. Company seems genuinely invested in seeing its employees develop, grow and succeed.

Cons

As with many corporations, cost savings generally hit the employee base by reducing or eliminating annual pay increases, cutting benefits like eliminating 401k contributions, stock options, and of course layoffs. This would hurt less if the executives saw the same cuts.

Pros

It is a job...a bad job, but a job.

Cons

Working at CommScope/RUCKUS is an absolute nightmare, and I would strongly advise anyone considering employment with this company to run in the opposite direction. My experience with CommScope/RUCKUS is filled with frustration, incompetence, and an overall lack of respect for employees. First and foremost, the company's leadership team is utterly clueless and completely disconnected from the reality of the workplace. They seem to have no understanding of how to effectively lead or communicate with their employees. Decisions are made haphazardly, without any consideration for the impact on employees' workloads or well-being. Their top-down approach creates an environment of micromanagement and stifles any creativity or independent thinking. The company's culture is toxic, to say the least. The level of favoritism and politics that permeate the organization is mind-boggling. It's all about who you know and who you can cozy up to, rather than recognizing and rewarding hard work and talent. This toxic environment fosters a sense of distrust and paranoia among colleagues, making it impossible to collaborate or build meaningful relationships. The workload at CommScope/RUCKUS is unreasonable. Expect to be constantly overwhelmed and stretched thin, with unrealistic deadlines, expectations, and zero support. The company seems to have no regard for work-life balance, pushing employees to their breaking points without any consideration for their personal lives or well-being. It's a breeding ground for burnout. The lack of resources and outdated tools provided by CommScope/RUCKUS is a constant hindrance to getting any meaningful work done. It's frustrating to be expected to perform at a high level when you're constantly battling with outdated technology and systems. The company's resistance to invest in modern tools and equipment only showcases their unwillingness to prioritize employee productivity and success. Compensation and benefits at CommScope/RUCKUS are nothing to write home about. The salary is mediocre at best, and don't look forward to the so-called "benefits." The healthcare coverage is dismal, and they have recently discontinued annual merit increases, as well as employer 401k contributions. There's no real incentive or reward for putting in your time and effort at this company. Do yourself a favor and read their latest 10-K. Lastly, the lack of career growth and development opportunities at CommScope/RUCKUS is extremely disheartening. The company seems to have no interest in investing in their employees' professional growth. Promotions are rare and often given based on politics rather than merit. If you're looking for a company that will help you advance your career and invest in your future, CommScope/RUCKUS is definitely not the place to be. In conclusion, my time at CommScope/RUCKUS is a complete disaster. The company's inept leadership, toxic culture, overwhelming workload, lack of resources, mediocre compensation, and limited career growth opportunities make it a nightmare for anyone seeking a fulfilling and rewarding work experience. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of CommScope/RUCKUS unless you enjoy misery and frustration in your professional life.

Pros

Immediate manager was very encouraging and supportive. Enjoyed working with my team.

Cons

Company is struggling right now and laid off quite a few very good people in May 2023. Wish they cared more about people but it is another company looking at reducing costs. They cancelled raises in 2023 and suspending 401k match after July. Stock has been declining for a while. This company was great, not anymore.
