Pros

Benefits are not too bad.

Cons

Very poor management. Does not care about their employees and is only willing to listen to problems once you put in your notice.

Cognizant is bad for America

Pros

There really are none I can think of.

Cons

Cognizant is an acquisition company. What they did with TriZetto was to buy them, remove all the female management they could get away with, and then systematically reduce the rest of the American workforce quarter by quarter. They are an absolutely parasitic entity of a company, and not good news for any US based companies they purchase. You will be bought, you will be replaced. They refer to layoffs as being "benched", whereas you have 5 weeks to accept any internal jobs that are offered you. Here is the rub, they offered me only jobs out of state, which I specifically said I cannot take. With that, I exceeded the maximum number of job rejections and they skate on the final week of paying me on a pre-planned technicality. This company is bad news for American workers.

Pros

Co-workers-that's the only thing for what you are going there to work

Cons

Management-actually this is the biggest challenge there. No experience,no inspiration for others and only focus on targets. Going there to work you are not a human anymore with human needs. You should work like a programmed robot. If you are making mistakes you will get constantly action plans, feedback, what will not push you to going forward. A manager was hiring instead of a brilliant guy, where nobody was thinking to leave the company. Now the situation is just awful. A TL from PT is able to bring an top-performer to cry because of am silly mistake. Just avoid this company when you have some good ideas or you will be an inspiration for others.
