Experience gained can help set you apart from other candidates when looking to advance externally. If you can get in on a Director level role, you'll be set for a long time as Coach is mediocre at best and there's no accountability.

Cons

Coordinators are given responsibilities on the Manager level Managers are doing Director level work Directors are coasting on the backs of their hardworking team oppressing the advancement of those below them. When you express a desire to advance, you will get moved laterally without additional compensation.
