Recent acquisition of ACE drastically changed work culture, more bottom line driven, less employee driven; archaic technology with resistance to adapt to modern standards

Pros

It was a dynamic, fast paced company when I was there. Opportunities to learn the business, were endless. Good benefits, Pension and profit sharing.

Cons

Even at that point, staff was stretched too thin (claims side), and middle management, "talked the talk", but didn't "walk the walk".

Pay is good, for now. Some Legacy Chubb people are still on board, and they're awfully good. Basic book of business is profitable and well underwritten.

Cons

New management and its priorities are not as sound as prior management. Excess reliance on top line results and the appearance of being great. Atmosphere reeks of politics.
