      A big let down

      Pros

      Benefits and pay were good. Culture was good until about 2016. Very strategic and disciplined underwriting organization. Many branches are very enthusiastic about teamwork, putting the best product forward, and celebrating individual and team success. Superb client service.

      Cons

      Attitudes across the country were very different in a few smaller branches. Disrespectful comments towards employees in other regions or departments as well as identity-driven inappropriate comments. Some management can lack empathy. Some performative management styles with supervisors stretched thin, responsible for teams in multiple time zones.

      -Chubb has several Helpdesks depending on what you need, but there’s this particular Helpdesk could use some improvement. I’ve had several tickets that never got resolved because the Helpdesk wouldn’t actually help no matter how many times I’ve reached out to them for months. It usually consists of me reaching out to them; they reply back, asking another team member to help; said team member doesn’t reach out to me, so I have to reach out to them; we talk a little bit; I allow them some time to work on it; and then nothing happens until I try to follow up for an update—rinse and repeat. It doesn’t seem like managers can do something about it too, so I had to officially give up recently after going through this for months.
