      Pros

      The company provides traditional salary and benefits to employees. If you are OK with a set job with almost average compensation, you can thrive within this company.

      Cons

      Morale within the company is abysmal. The Italian leadership style of the company is to instill fear in hopes of increasing productivity. There is virtually no mechanism to grow employees and encourage high performers within the company to take on new leadership roles. Managers are given very little information and yet are still directed to consistently deliver bad news to their teams without any business rationale. Therefore, the people who last within the company are those who accept and embrace mediocrity.

      Pros

      Great product and legacy - you can be involved in feeding the world. Burr Ridge has some terrific talented and experienced people to work with. Awesome 401K matching program. New CEO has promise - assuming the chairwoman and Exor do not chase him away.

      Cons

      Europe-based management are inexperienced and ineffective in leading people, especially people in the US market. The EU based technical management does not understand the North American marketplace and, unfortunately, too arrogant to admit it. The chairwoman is British aristocracy, and does not have much of a connection or understanding of people and people leadership. As long as she does not stifle the new CEO, the company may have a chance.

      Pros

      Great people to work with. Many extremely talented people. Great time off, I believe up to 17 paid holidays. Challenging and can be rewarding at times.

      Cons

      If you aren't in the inner circle you don't get anywhere. The only way to advance is to completely kiss up to management. Advanced degrees are the only way they take people serious. They don't judge you on you ability or your achievements but on the paper you earned in school. If you have a BS it just gets your foot in the door but that's it.
