Pros

Great benefits with the basic needs of health and dental well covered. Eligible for pension after 2 years

Cons

Not great for older person who has a lot of work experience and knowledge. Joined CIBC hoping to rebuild a new career (left my previous career behind after stay at home parenthood) Accepted part time role hoping to have it grow into more. Turns Its not what you know but WHO you know. Blatant favoritism& nepotism: Full time opportunities that arose seemed closed off to me and awarded to persons who are closer to management or younger. Inconsistent hours have made it difficult to budget or find a second part time job outside of CIBC to supplement your income, you feel always on call. The post Covid sales pressure to meet goals for compensation or branch recognition has become very difficult to attain, especially within limited hours to try and achieve those goals.
