Pros

Not many. The benefits came mostly from relying on what the Client offered on campus.

Cons

This was absolutely the worst professional experience I have encountered. The interview process itself took nearly 3 months-no reason given. From the get go, it was evident that my coworkers were not happy. There was no formal training, this is a sink or swim philosophy. When I addressed finding redundancy in tasks that slow down efficiency, I was told to do it anyways. Top down management with little respect to the team made the turnover high (10 people left within a year). The client itself was difficult, setting unrealistic timeframes and demands, But there was no advocacy to support the group. I went home on a regular basis feeling stress and anxiety. I quickly learned this was a toxic work culture and made the right choice to leave.

Pros

Decent pay for the work.

Cons

Not a real maintenance job. Your job will entail carrying out BS tasks for Amazon operations that are either completely ridiculous, or something that they can complete themselves, but would rather put it on maintenance... like cleaning their grill for a 4th of July cookout (yes, that really happened). CBRE management has no backbone and lets Amazon walk all over us with these mindless tasks by saying “yes” to EVERYTHING. The job consists of probably less than 10% real maintenance that entails repairing equipment, less that 1% actually troubleshooting and solving problems, and the rest consists of, moving desks, cleaning grills, cutting legs on tables because they’re too tall?, and attempting to baby-proof the facility because Amazon will not hold their own employees accountable for behavioral issues. This is where careers come to die. Also, on top of all that... the health insurance is extremely expensive and absolutely terrible.
