Pros

The pay is decent for the small area I live in. Employees get a 10 minute break every 2 hours, and can use the bathroom whenever they need to.

Cons

I worked here for 16 years and this is a very hostile work environment! Harassment level is ridiculous not only from coworkers, but management alike. The attendance policy is absurd! The environment is loud, and dirty! The heat that has to be endured is dangerous!!! Management does not listen to production workers, and treat them as if they are extremely stupid, or borderline retarded. There is no break rooms. The management show favoritism, and some of them are inappropriately close to production workers; and those are the ones promoted ;) Also, management tells lies on the people who do not want to kiss butt, and writes them up based on the lies they tell. Coworkers harass fellow coworkers, and this is encouraged by management, because this keep union threats at bay.

Pros

It’s a job, otherwise none really.

Cons

Belden likes to acquire companies and situation is different for the hub employees and the acquired entities . For the latter it sucks, for the lack of a better word. If you were recently acquired-run away, nothing good is going to happen to you. Belden is preoccupied with share price, matrices, indexes, revenue numbers and such. What Belden does not care about is employees ( unfortunately). Usually they do not bother to understand the business they buy, and place unqualified employees of their own with no relevant experience to run (more like ruin) it. Targets are unrealistic, pressure for numbers is enormous, customer needs ( both internal and external) are often neglected , As a result –lay-offs,stress,no merit increases, frustration, disappointment.
