      Pros

      we have great kit, great people and a good understanding of strategy and governance however i feel struggle with the implementation

      Cons

      the off shoring is really slowing everything down, more often than not the on shore teams in the UK and US are picking up the work not completed by the off shore teams even though the on shore team sizes have been dramatically down sized

      Pros

      Pretty relaxed for a financial firm. Work is easy. Good opportunity for advancement in the UK.

      Cons

      The focus on meritocracy is really a sham. Promotions have more to do with who you know and how long you've been around. Equities are decent, but across the majority of the internal engineering organization - most of the talent has already walked out the door. XP desktops are still the norm.
