Pros

There was genuinely nothing positive about working here. Even the compensation was not worth the frustration.

Cons

Ineffective management, absolutely zero autonomy given to subject matter experts, unrealistic expectations and timelines, horrible processes solely for process sake, constantly changing priorities, and little value places in their most valuable employees.

Toxic culture

Pros

The cards business continues to grow. Base compensation is fair compared to the market.

Cons

The culture within cards & payments is very toxic. The CIO reports into the COO, which means Technology is run like Ops. Senior management seems to think technology people are exchangeable like people in a call center. The focus is on people being in the office from 9-5, instead of looking at true outcomes. No flexibility for remote work. Although the cards business is doing well and growing, bonuses are down year after year after year. New management In Cards & Payments is looking for opportunities to move positions to India.
