Pros

The company actively encourages home working. Although a large percentage of my time is spent delivering training at sites across the UK when I am designing or developing training packages I can work from home. No commuting takes an average 2 hours off my working day and saves me about £120 per month.

Cons

The company is permanently downsizing in the UK. Senior management always seem to be playing schoolboy football. The flavour of the month is relentlessly chased until someone achieves their bonus, then it's on to the next target. Internal promotion is now rare as the senior managers seem to think they can only improve the company by attracting new blood. This was definitely true a few years ago but the reverse has started happening now with a lack of stability in structure and direction.

Pros

helping customers, being able to make a difference to customers and making a difference in the workplace. more so now than ever before. working in sales i am able to provide customers with the most cost effective, cheapest and high quality products to allow there businesses to run efficiently and effectively. BT is a well known recognised branded company. BT provides excellent experience for anyone wanting to work for a large company. incentives and the people who work for BT make it a pleasure to work there.

Cons

teams are too big, not enough one to one focus. inacurate communications of agents performance. bonus money is always wrong!!! and they never take ownership to resolve issues. flexible and set shifts being run side by side still - even though they will not provide any new staff with set shifts any longer. lack of faireness of shifts shared out to all staff. same people getting late shifts over very long periods of time. no flexibility for booking leave. computer systems that do not work, slow responses and sometimes no response at all.
