      A good place to work, but neutral as to future due to recession.

      Pros

      Flexibility -- with hours, home-working, scorecard/objectives. Fairly free to be as ambitious as you want to be and support to try new things, meet with suppliers, explore ideas, etc. There are lots of different areas where one can move around if needed and you are encouraged to move around if you want to progress in your career.

      Cons

      Have to fight for pay rises, its in a tough competitive environment with a product that will struggle in the recession. The only way up is out of a team or unit in most cases; no in-job career progression, no matter how large you grow your role. Also, it is a lot of who you know if you want to change roles. So if you're not good at networking, this probably isn't the company (or industry) to be in.

      Pros

      Great Graduate Training and development and also networking opportunities - a diverse range of jobs as the company is huge!

      Cons

      Politics Politics Politics! - this is definitely not appealing to a graduate fresh from university who wants to get stuck in and deliver change, new and innovative ideas etc. BT really need to sort this out, allow fresh ideas into the company and take some risk or else they will continue to be a company thats perceived as behind others...

      Pros

      Free Broadband,Some great people working there,|And overall a good place to work but when someone makes a mistyake the best thing to do is to sit down and talk it through rather than just suspending and firing them,I made a simple l made a simple mistake which was not in my opinion a buisness critical mistake however my manager suspended me and then the area manager dismissed em with no consultation or anything ,I was just disacrded and thrown away.
