Pros

The overall compensation package at Compass is favorable compared to the industry average. The best reason to work for Compass is due to the recent acquisition by BBVA. BBVA is an extremely well run organization which invests heavily in its employees. This will create numerous career advancement and professional development opportunities for employees.

Cons

One of the biggest downsides is the lack of communication from upper management. Another downside is the lack of investment in technology. This will all be fixed once BBVA implements their plan in 2009.

Pros

Good to have on the resume. And it is an OK company to start your career and then move into finance departments or treasury at private companies. Good medical / health plan.

Cons

Low salaries, few benefits. The managers runing the Corporate & Institutional Banking Division lack of leadership and coaching abilities. The employes are not empowered and the working morale is low. The working hours suck, especially with workaholic managers who have family issues and expect staff to work 9AM - 11PM and at least half day on saturdays and sundays.
