Pros

This will be an awesome place to work in the year 2014 or 2015. World wide organization Has great products

Cons

It is a very large group of banks being run by some small time bank employees so they just cant get it right. Nothing you are told in the hiring process is set in stone in my case benifits commision structure and salary increases changed. The entire commision structure is a joke!

Pros

BBVA Compass truly cares about its employees and customers. They put their money where their mouth is when it comes to incentive plans, which encourage true customer service and help us understand how banks make money, and reward us appropriately. No widget pushing here.

Cons

Low branch network volume and market penetration mean few people know who we are. As the word gets out, everyone will want to bank with us but until we grow our market share remains relatively small in local communities.

Pros

Mobility with in the company is quite possible if you have a supportive manager. Non-sales positions may have a better work environment. Very badly needed computer system upgrade is in place since I left.

Cons

A lot of Micromanaging to the point where it creates a serious constraint in work flow. Day to day activities become hard to accomplish for all the various and required methods of reporting to management. Sales pressure gives you more of the stick than the carrot. The comission for various sales is so low as to not be much of an incentive. It was $1 for a checking account when I was there and the computer system was SLOW. Business model was too reliant on NSF's creating a lot of unhappy customers also.
