Pros

If you have good results, you are given opportunities different to your expertise area, in branches, careers are very fast, because of the growth in recent years. Good HR policies, getting better each year.

Cons

Is very unstable, management changes each year, due to the "rotations" so it is difficult to have a long term plan for development of proyects. It is wors if the new manager wishes to bring his former employees, with no experience, and reorganises complete areas, many experienced successful workers leave the company. There is no "knowledge management" when people rotate, new employees need to start from "0".

Pros

Compass offers very good base salary and additional benefits like longer vacation time compared to other banks with the same level of experience

Cons

Saying the companies technology is behind is an understatement. They still use old command systems to get the job done. They are starting to try to bring their systems more up to date but the old employees seem to not like the changes and there is no cooperation which means technology advancement is not going anywhere. As a newer employee this is terrible since you will constantly be told different ways to do things and believe me neither way is productive. Their incentives are also a lot less compared to other companies I have worked for and management seems unwillingness to tell this to their employees until weeks after they take the job (I know multiple people who had the same issue at different locations)

Pros

One of the benefits is an amazing health care package, free financial help, free accounts and benefits and a fast growing company! Their goal is to be the number one bank in the US in the next 5 years. It's a big company with a small bank feel. Clients are loyal and you see the same people very often so relationship building is great.

Cons

It is not just challenging to work at Compass. The requirements for Branch Associates (tellers) is very high. Not only do you have to give 100% customer service, but your sales goals and expectations are high. You will have to deal with large amounts of cash, fast paced work, and a lot of computer knowledge and speed/accuracy. Also, you will have to learn a lot of operations (back work), rules and regulations, government acts and regulations, and a code of conduct. There is no room for error when dealing with people's financial well-being. You will need to be able to keep confidential information and be very professional. Things like account maintenance, ordering for vaults, having 10+ keys to be responsible for at all times, knowing vault codes, memorizing at least 15 computer passwords, etc is normal. The stress level is very high, especially for the speed of which you have to get things done.
