Pros

Low pressure, low stakes environment Great work life balance Decent pay

Cons

75% of engineering are basically monoculture chop shop drones that cycle from one legacy tech company to the other. If you enjoy working with smart people you won't be happy here long term. The icing on the cake is the thickest layer of useless middle managers endlessly looking at Jira .

Pros

Autodesk is a company that knows that the one-size-fits-all approach doesn't work. They know how to manage complexity by focusing on culture and strategy, instead of guidance and standardization. Autodesk understands that psychological safety is a per-team metric and thus can convert a good work environment into productive employees.

Cons

When standardization is unavoidable, they prefer in-house solutions instead of relying on industry standards, and that can quickly escalate to conflicts of interest.
