Bordering on being insulting as it does not come close to being a healthy workplace
Don’t waste your time working for this company as a salaried person. You have a much better chance and can forever game the lousy system if you are hired as an hourly employee.
Hourly’s have better health benefits than management particularly when you add spouse and family members
The bonus structure is pathetic. Work long hours for peanuts.
Hourly employees always are given benefit of the doubt over management’s efforts to hold them accountable for performance and attendance
Your hard work is not appreciated. They are quick to get rid of you after working there for years in a heartbeat and based on flimsy evidence. They will drop you like a stone just to keep the hourly employee happy no matter how long you have worked for them and how much effort you have invested. Your services are not valued
It’s hard to tell who’s in charge since so little is accepted to hold hourly individuals accountable for fake doctor’s notes or terrible performance. Any efforts to truly hold staff accountable for attendance or performance will be fought.
Always short staffed and you will work the position. You’re not managing the restaurant the hourly employee is.
Watch out for the holidays' staff will call off like crazy they don’t care and you will be left on your own
You are treated like dogs by senior people. Little or no upper-level leadership or support
Do your job and keep your mouth shut is the role you are expected to play. Don’t have an opinion or if you don’t offer it the big bosses know best: like hell they do.
No clear direction provided it all. Company is reactive and not proactive.
Most table tent specials are laughable as they often push items that don’t sell.
Systems in place are inconsistent at best. A system that has been put in place may be gone in a couple of months or not enforced
And the hard work and time you have invested are not valued
Their standards for hiring people are low
Senior people provide little or no support to the front line managers
Poor communication from senior office people so you are left in the dark about an issue.
An assistant salaried person changes peoples clock in times so the person will not get fired and even though presented to the company and nothing happens
The same person pockets hundreds of dollars before leaving on vacation by voiding checks and nothing happens
The same person changes the management schedule without permission and nothing happens
The company should have stayed in Spain and not tried to compete in the USA they are in over their heads in America. They don’t have a clue.
Despicable, disgusting they don’t know what the hell they are doing. The blind leading the blind. Little or no creative thinking
No training it’s all seat of the pants and whatever someone else that’s been there longer can pass on to you
Too much nepotism people appointed to senior positions and have no idea what they are doing.
Most any of the senior management or hourly people would not last very long in the real outside world but the airport gives them cover
Guest service standards are only about what the hourly employee feels like making the effort or not. You cannot push them to follow any kind of steps of service. For the most part, since they have a captive audience and they make money and get by doing the minimum. Most barely do side work because they know management can do little to hold them accountable. Most associates only do the minimum. Earn a paycheck, health benefits and contribute very little. To ask them to go above and beyond is just not going to happen. Once they past probation many could care less about the job or the responsibilities that go with it. They are not salespeople they are order takers.
