      - Projects are in depth, you will gain a lot of experience in different areas - Some managers bring out the best in you, puts you in roles where your strength is used - Many extra-curricular activities outside work

      Cons

      - Some managers and supervisors tend to be personal with their employees - Cannot take a vacation leave without your supervisor berating you - Favoritism and unjust promotions - No salary increase for no good reason - Some supervisors push you to not file your overtime - Manipulation and gaslighting from supervisors - Some supervisors are misogynistic

      - Let's say they pay attention to work-balance life - Good for Juniors or Starters

      Cons

      - The manager I had was awful. I was employed for a Software Development position and I arrived doing DevOps. I had 2 technical interviews in which they could have told me specifically that this position was more for DevOps. - They were completely dishonest and they tried to convince me that the work is actually not DevOps but it is Development. And all this while I wrote server side scripts . Now if they cannot make that difference between a DevOps position a Software Development position you realize how competent managers may be in this organization. I understand the HR has problems separating the two but you would expect something more from a technical manager. - The manager I had was having a real bad attitude and behavior. Not acceptable by any means. And I mean really bad. - I have not enough words to explain my full and bad experience so I will end up here.

      Bait and lay you off

      Pros

      Fast growing company, mostly by acquisition.

      Cons

      As a former LTC person they seem to have a pattern of laying us off just before we hit milestone anniversaries. I know at least two other very senior and highly talented people who were laid off just before major milestones when they would have gotten more time off or a paid sabbatical. That is NOT how you treat your best people.
