      Pros

      Fairly good benefits, vacation, health insurance, etc.

      Cons

      It’s becoming a highly dumbed-down workforce. I’m a former Linear Technology Corporation employee who has watched ADI lose most of our highly skilled LTC people who actually had real technical knowledge due to very poor decision making from ADI’s management back east. They are being left with only the lowest skilled people as far as having technical knowledge is concerned.

      Pros

      The bonus plan is OK, as long as company makes huge amounts of money, and the formula will work to benefit the employees. They change the formula from time to time. Raises and promotions are HARD to get , and as a people manager, I had to play very hard to be able to secure a budget for my team's raise.

      Cons

      1- Multiple layers of management makes decision making very hard. It takes a while to even get an approval, etc. on key issues (hiring, etc.) 2- They always cry about low budget, ... 3- Top level management do not know about real issues in the company, despite the frequent updates they provide. 4- Even though forecast was positive, and they build a 1 BILLION DOLLAR FAB, they had a COST SAVING layoff in January that was targeted towards acquired Maxim employees. I think they wanted to clean up Maxim headcount after their 2-year legal term was finished with half the severance package they legally owed them.

      Pros

      Good tools, cad flows. Likeable people, friendly place. Nice work environment. Buying companies to show stock appreciation worked in the low interest era. But now not so much.

      Cons

      Incompetent line managers, cancelled projects, stupid planning. New product success is very rare. Compensation is below market by about 20-30%. Bloated management
