Pros

- Open floor plan facilitates fraternization - Good snacks and beer on tap after hours, which is nice because you slave away after hours on a daily basis

Cons

- Management is inexperienced, incompetent, and very unapproachable. There is a handful of souls over 30 who work at the firm. Directives and feedback are given in a convoluted and inappropriate manner, and nobody has any idea how to handle even the slightest of problems. - There is no HR department or system for dealing with problems in the workplace between employees. - The work is monotonous and mind-numbing. It consists mainly of spamming hundreds of people per day on networking sites to participate in consultations or join the firm's network. The firm has been getting in trouble with professional networking outlets for abusing their licenses. The only tangible skills one can build in this job are basic phone and communication skills. - Job security does not exist. 40 new Analysts started between July and September of 2014 and only 30 remain 8 months later. The are frequent firings of those who don't hit their sales quotas and Analysts are fearful that they will not be around if they don't hit their quota each month. The firm attributes this to "natural attrition" that they pretend is common amongst companies: it's not. If every company had 25%+ of their employees leave before their first year was over there would not be very many large companies... - Almost laughable micromanaging culture instilled in employees from the very beginning due to distrust of others' work. Employees are miserable. Let people breathe. - Most positive reviews on here are due to pressure from People Operations to compensate for the company's declining rating.

Pros

The people are wonderful, but get less wonderful as you go up the promotional hierarchy, and you make some good friends bonding over the unpleasantries of the job.

Cons

There is so much that is not good about this company, and much of it I didn’t fully internalize until being fully employed somewhere else. The most fundamental issue, though, is that the leadership is set in its absurd method and despite constantly boasting a feedback culture, has never once taken on feedback from its employees. The turnover rate is wild, the recruiting proposition is false, and the lack of training of the managers, which has been brought up on this chain 81738492 times, is perpetuated despite the repeated feedback that it is a problem. I was lucky(ish) in my segment and in my team, but I saw colleagues being treated horribly, being belittled and stretched thin and then thrown out without a second thought. Most managers and up are on some kind of Zimbardo prison experiment-esque power trip. And you really just sit there and watch as bright, capable recent-grads (and sometimes experienced professionals who are pulled into the associate position by the visa sponsorship) are driven to half-insanity. I don’t know of a single person who has left and isn’t far better off now. And I know a lot of people who have left.

Pros

- All of your co-workers are fresh out of college/young like you - Direct path toward promotion (manager in 2 years, VP in 4-5) - They do their best to improve company culture

Cons

- LONG hours - 8am-6pm are official hours, which they don’t tell you when you interview - The job is so draining. You essentially have to call/dm/harass other business professionals to get them to talk to you & eventually to your clients - If you’re anything other than an extrovert, AVOID THIS JOB. Too much social interaction expected of you with both the clients/experts and also your young coworkers - cause ya know, they gotta keep up appearances and organize ‘fun’ events in the workplace - Everyone is tired but pretending not to be. Generally an insanely toxic and ‘fast paced’ (derogatory) place to work. - The ‘performance pay’ is not what they portray it to be during the interview process - they drop the ball on you last minute.
