Pros

Airbus has an amazing culture wherein any employee at any position has direct access to the top management. The management is also very transparent about all the decisions taken at local as well as global level. Ample amount of opportunities are offered to employees who want to make a true difference and there is no limit what you can achieve.

Cons

There are really no cons of working at Airbus.

Pros

Because developing commercial aircraft is the only thing you want to do in life. And you absolutely want to work in Europe, nowhere else. Then Airbus is certainly your best bet. Indeed, there aren't many other bets.

Cons

If you are an engineer, you will most suffer low morale. This may seem odd in an industry built on the back of engineering creativity. Indeed, you will hear Airbus senior management and recruiters bemoan the fact that they can't recruit enough suitable engineers. But the reality is, They want mediocre engineers, prepared to produce mediocre work, and satisfied with mediocre reward. They will SAY they highly value engineers. But their actions bely their words. There are bright spots. Some local departments are very well led and managed. But even excellent managers cannot protect you from the stifling bureaucracy. A few people do seem to thrive in the environment, and have meteoric career paths. But they are not the norm.

Pros

The benefits are quite good.

Cons

I have been working for Airbus for the past three months, during which was my probation period. To start with, after only one month, my proximity manager had a surreal interaction with me, claiming he didn't remember some of the things we had agreed upon (such as PTO and WFO days). When confronted, he became passive-aggressive and told me my behaviour wasn't professional (which is a huge insult personally). Despite our tension, I focused on my work and started working on three different projects, when in reality I was told, by my functional manager (in France), I had only to work on one project in the very beginning, as I was still learning. Bear in mind that all the feedback I got from my functional manager and my France team was extraordinary, everyone seemed happy with how much I was doing in so little time. Until, two days ago, I was called into a meeting with my proximity manager and an HRBP; apparently, I wasn't "delivering as I should" and they would have to let me go. I was in utter shock, nothing made sense. I was asked to deliver immediately my laptop and to leave the company. Two days later and I still don't understand what happened; when I confronted the HR and asked what were they going to do with my feedback, no concrete answer was given. I do not recommend Airbus and, were it possible, I would give zero stars in this review. I have never felt so humiliated in my whole career and I truly hope no one has to go through what I have been through.
