Pros

Accenture has phenomenal people - this is bar far one of the best reasons to work for Accenture. In my years with the company I have been extremely impressed with the caliber of the people I have interacted with. There are also a variety of career opportunities. I have seen people start in consulting and move into another workforce later in their career when they needed a change or wanted a slower pace but still have a challenging and interesting career. Accenture is a top notch, highly reputable company which makes me proud to be employed there. It offers excellent benefits and flexibility,

Cons

Accenture employs a lot of people - over 187k, therefore I realize we need a highly structured performance management process to properly rate our people to recognize them and determine their pay increases and bonuses. However, from my vantage the current performance process is not always executed fairly. This has implications on morale and hits home for the affected employees since their bonus and pay increase is determine from their contribution rating. Senior management needs to address this to make sure the performance management process is consistently executed across the board, ensuring that contribution ratings are determined fairly and consistently.

Pros

I worked in the Technolgy services end of Accenture which basically provides infrastructure and technical support to their consulting divisions. The best reason to work for Accenture is its reputation- I actually didnt know how well they were respected in the industry at the time but if you leave them having Accenture on your CV is a great door opener. Other than that the best thing about Accenture is the fac tthat they have everything pretty much covered- unless you reach a senior management postion then almost any problem you have they have a solution for.

Cons

Its very regimented- they have a standard operating procedure for pretty much everything, which, from an organisational point of view is excellent, but if you're looking for a place to share idea's and innovate then its not so good as you're job (if you're low level) is pretty much mapped out for you and deviation from that map isnt encouraged or noticed. (might be a good/bad thing depending on your own personality)

Pros

Brand is valuable to have on your resume; Good place to get exposure to a variety of industries; If you don't have a family, it's a great place to take advantage of travel opportunities. Very flexible work hours. Lots of opportunities to pursue unique experiences at work. Great vacation - 25 days.

Cons

No work-life balance; Very subjective review process; Leaders often take advantage of hard workers and compensation will not match effort; Will often require people to take on more responsibility while not promoting the or raising their salaries. Very little, if any, compromise on project work.
