Pros

The benefits are the main thing keeping people there in my line of work, but the company is doing everything it can to take those away.

Cons

Micromanagement, senior management making decisions without taking feedback from those who have to carry the decisions out, poor performance reviews, lousy compensation given the vast profits the company is reporting, unrealistic policies and procedures, poor resources, lack of management support of employees, lack of communication between departments, management giving orders from the top down with little regard for the consequences.

Pros

Great benefits and that’s about it.

Cons

Over the past several years, the workplace culture has declined significantly. The “people-first” approach that once set this company apart no longer seems to exist. Employees with decades of service—those who have earned awards, delivered measurable value, and saved the company millions—are often let go without meaningful consideration. Leadership decisions are frequently made without consulting direct supervisors, resulting in sudden workforce reductions that occur as often as every quarter. This creates an environment of instability and uncertainty, where employees feel constantly at risk. There are many companies that genuinely value and support their employees. Unfortunately, this is no longer one of them. The lack of transparency and consistent layoffs make it difficult to feel secure or focused in your role.

Pros

- The benefits are genuinely strong. AT&T offers robust health coverage, solid retirement options, and one of the most meaningful perks is the separate paid time off specifically for caring for family; distinct from regular PTO. This is a rare and truly valuable benefit. - Compensation is competitive and there are clear structures for pay, bonuses, and progression. -Large company with many resources and opportunities to learn if you're proactive.

Cons

- The culture can feel negative, rigid, and at times toxic. If you don't fully assimilate or "fall in line", it's made clear that you don't belong. - It's extremely difficult to speak up, push for change, or offer a differing perspective without fear of being labeled 'not aligned' or 'resistant'. - The return-to-office mandate is overwhelming and has created a stressful environment. Having to track hours an days in the office makes it feel like you're clocking in and out; even in roles where remote work has proven fully effective. - There is absolutely no flexibility to work from home under any circumstance, even when remote work would not impact productivity. - You often feel like a cog in a massive machine: easily replaceable, unseen, and not valued as an individual.
