Going down hill...

Pros

Directv was always known for good pay, great bonus and stock options for directors and above. But with the acquisition by T that is going away and so will the talent. There are many interesting projects to work on and the technical team is very knowledgeable and great to work with.

Cons

Long hours... if you are on a high priority project than you can expect to work nonstop. Highly political environment. Many silos to navigate throughout the enterprise.

Pros

It's a very open and diverse place to work as far as getting to be you without having to dress-up and pretend to be someone you're not or forced to wear long sleeves in 95 deg weather because you have a tattoo or a piercing.

Cons

Since ATT took over i've sat and watched my friends be let go because they must down size my building so they can, for the first time in 20yrs shut it down at night and outsource to el salvador. ATT don't care about their employees only money and they care how many customers you've saved and helped and made a difference with, if they can get rid of you and put someone else in your place for a lower pay. They dont care if they hurt the employees because we no longer have a face with the company, we are a payroll number now and that's it. White at lease sat front line with us and felt our pains and what we go through and realized we are people with faces not numbers on paper and have bills and family to care for, Stanky wont do that. Heaven forbid he gives up his nice car for a week to see what unknown scheduling is like or wish you could get that overtime so you don't have to choose if you're paying the mortgage this month or the car payment or wish you could get a second job but have no idea what your schedule is so you cant even tell them when you would be available. Stanky really made dtv stinky!!!
