24 years and feels like Day 1
Pros
Many people wonder why people I've stayed so long. I've taken every opportunity given to me and accomplish goals I set for myself. If there was a new program I wanted to join, I had the chance to apply. I have many friends who I first started with and we treat each other like family and as a networking tool for your next internal job.
Cons
You won't become rich at AT&T with lavish stock options like Amazon, Apple, Nvidia etc., but you will have great benefits and ability for upward mobility. If you invest your money right, participate in the generous 401k you can set yourself up for a healthy retirement. The company did take away the extra 5 days of vacation for any manager who had 20 years of service for no reason. To me that was a benefit we appreciated for our service. The excuse for the change was meh and seemed like they disrespected tenured employees and gave more days to newer employees.
