Pros

None whatsoever. I can't even fill the 20 word minimum because that's how difficult it is to come up with pros for this company.

Cons

No work-life balance, low pay, treated like a number, no advancement opportunities, asked to perform tasks that are not part of your role, pushed beyond your limit to the point of loss of emotional well-being, exhaustion, subjected to inhumane and dangerous working conditions...just to name a few things...

Pros

The company was a great place to work. They had excellent benefits including medical, dental, 401k, tuition reimbursement, etc...

Cons

Finding a new role can be difficult, due to the sheer size of AT&T. Jobs that get posted on the internal job site, are frequently filled before they are posted. If you have excellent networking skills, you can get ahead of this process, and do well in the company. The recent and upcoming mergers, are resulting in a very high number of lay-offs of well qualified people. Decisions on lay-offs are frequently determined by HR with little to no input from managers. Decisions are often made due to location or other metrics that are difficult for an employee to change.

Pros

Good benefits, free phone service, in depth training

Cons

Over the years compensation has decreased greatly but quotas keep going up and are harder to hit because there are so many reps on the floor. I worked for AT&T for 10 years. I was the best in my city for customer service. I never got a customer complaint and continuously received 100% on my customer feedback scores. I worked harder then most people would ever think of working but I got fired for not meeting my numbers. I honestly believe that the real reason they fired me was because I made to much hourly and they felt that that was the reason why I did not try to meet quota. After 10 years of giving this company my all the cast me to the curb... One year later they tracked me down and basically begged me to come back, at a much lower base pay of course.
