Pros

Staff discount off shopping only thing decent.

Cons

Started a Seasonal Temp 16 hours.Which meant 52 hours over Xmas totally spoiled my Xmas! Team Leaders bullied you into working what suited them. They kept ringing me to come in on my days off and threatened you with your job when you couldn't come in. When I finished my shift they wanted to keep you working with no notice! The company use you to get what they want and don't care about you at all. Very different to what they say at the induction.I did get a 8 hour contract for a Saturday after Xmas ( big deal as all they wanted was tons of hours from you over Xmas) I lasted 3 months then they decided to just put me in 5 hours on a Saturday and 3 hours on a Sunday. How to spoil your weekend! I hated it as they just messed you around none stop! I hated it so i left and got another job...a job that respects me..very happy now.

Pros

Good town centre location in Leeds

Cons

I was made redundant from ASDA last year, with the driving factor being my part time 3 day a week contract after returning to work after maternity leave. The company handled the whole process terribly, and even after over 10 years at the company, where I had some good times, after the way they treated me, I would not recommend working at ASDA to anyone. Maybe this is why they are doing so badly at the moment!

Pros

You are able to work as many hours as you can. Allows full flexibility, so especially good if you are a student, or, if you have no ambitions.

Cons

An extremely dead end job. There's is nothing more absurd than waking up early in the morning, walking to your wardrobe, then noticing that fluorescent green shirt staring back at you.
