Pros

- Good pay - 10% discount on everything except fuel after 12 weeks

Cons

- Toxic environment between section workers, section leaders and managers - Lack of equipment for work that requires it such as printers, Telxons and omni trolleys - A plethora of favouritism from Section Leaders, especially where there is a potential relationship involved - A clearly defined hierarchy as superiors place themselves up on a pedestal above their subordinates - Section Leaders are abusive if the tasks they set (which are often unrealistic) are not completed by the time they expect - No real goals from one day to the next - Work becomes very monotonous - Lack of training besides some videos on the introductory day - No real sense of belonging or purpose - Unrealistic expectations from management - Often overworked and left extremely fatigued, even after a 4 hour shift - Management believe that no one has a social life outside of work - Lazy work from management shoves the consequences of their actions onto their subordinates and blames them for not getting the work done - Someone needs to give the managers a f*cking A-Level Business textbook because the information in it means that I could probably run that sh*thole in Peterborough better singlehandedly than they could. If all of this doesn't give you a reason not to work at ASDA, you NEED to get your head checked.

Pros

The people who I mainly worked with I would consider friends, great to work with.

Cons

- No loyalty from senior management. - No one is replaced who leaves. - You can't live on the pay. - In my first year they tried to pull a fast one on £200 of my wages. -Long hours and hardly any break time. - Always an excuse why I couldn't take annual leave. - You will be overworked and underpaid. - When customers are rude, expect no support from Senior Management.
