Pros

The friendly atmosphere was very good the majority of colleagues attitudes were great. Usually very helpful with allowing time off when needed even if it was short notice.

Cons

Not enough hours to atlas cover my basic 30 hour contract. Management hardly there after 3pm. Normally errors were made each day whether it be shopping missing on the van or just general carelessness. Lack of working satnavs. Phone calls before the cracks of dawn to ask to cover a shift that started 3 hours later.

Pros

Genuinely can't think of any plus points other than it's working for a recognized brand. It really is that bad.

Cons

The pay is the lowest out of all the supermarkets. The management don't believe if you are sick or have to leave on time and constantly pressure the colleagues to work longer. Cases of bullying are widespread and go ignored or are brushed under the carpet when reported. Breaks are the bare minimum they can give and are often interrupted. They break trading laws by pressuring staff to finish late and start early often saying that "those are the only shifts available". The longer serving colleagues are treated much better than the newer members even though the majority do less work.

A good place to work part time

Pros

They are very flexible with working hours and shift patterns, which works for those with children or those still in education. Most staff I have met have been overwhelmingly friendly and pleasant, and it is a relaxed working environment.

Cons

The pay could possibly be higher, in line with the wages paid by other supermarkets. The 10% staff discount is quite poor compared to other shops who give 20% or more. Furthermore, this cannot be used on groceries.
